Welcome to my blog! My name is Rebecca McClaine, and I am a professional writing major at Kutztown University. I have always enjoyed reading, starting with The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, and Dragon Lance books growing up. I am currently reading The StormLight Archive, which, along with other books, has inspired me to go college and pursue a career in writing. After working 20 plus years in the retail business, I am ready and excited for this new challenge.

Here is his response to my question about the different versions of the story: “My agent thought that changing the setting to Viet Nam would be more consistent with the rest of the collection. Carver was always black but I didn’t want to mention it. My editor thought mentioning it once would help readers get the racial issue. Viet”
